bad customer service, teaks good pictires for everyday use

( - 4/21/06)

I was very happy with the camera till last sunday. I like the straight forward userfriendly design.
I had a problem with the battery door that broke, as mentioned by many other DX6340 users. I was able to fix it with some super glue.
Last sunday while taking pictures the camera turned off and that was it. I replaced the batteries but that did not help.
After checking on the internet I find that this is a common problem on this model. I contacted Kodak, first by internet and than by phone. They want $105.00 for just locking at the camera and offer to repace it with a refurbished Z750 for over 200 dollar.
I belive, since there so many users of this camera with the same problems (battery door, dead camera) that Kodak should recall this model or repair it for free.
