great when it worked right

I was thrilled to read the other reviews because I couldn't figure out why this camera kept going dead. Everyone kept telling me it was the batteries I used, the pixels were set to high, yada yada yada. No matter what I tried it would go dead for no apparent reason. It takes beautiful pictures but is completely unreliable. Even with brand new batteries it went dead in the middle of my granddaughter's birthday party. I was the only one with a camera so it was really annoying.
