Mine died at 3 years, too
(Harri Ropp - 9/8/06)Thank you to all of you re the battery door problem and the camera dying.
I have now experienced the same problem — was using a rubber band to keep the battery door closed. Now camera is dead. Guess it's that internal battery of which you all speak.
Too bad, because I really was relatively happy with the camera's ease of use and picture quality.
