Kodak dx6340 has had 7v passed through it. It no longer works

My kodak DX6340 has had 7v passed through it with a AC adapter. It no longer works properley. there is nothing on the screen. The lense comes out (eventually) but nothing else happens.

The lense retracts when switched off and the backlight for the screen comes on. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Hi Bob,

Usually electrical mishaps like this mean the end of the product's life, unfortunately. You could try sending the camera in to Kodak's repair people, but given its age and obsolescence, you might be better off just scrapping it and putting the money you'd spend on the repair toward a newer, better model.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. :[

Priced up repair. Its uneconomoical. Waiting for the panasonic fz18 to come out or the fz8 if its too expensive.

Thanks anyways.

Good luck. The Panasonics are very good cameras, you won't go wrong with them.
