my kodak DX6340 was dropped and now the shutter won't open and the lens does not extend when the power is turned on. Any sugguestions as to how to fix

I would say your best bet is to purchase a new camera. Since your camera is most likely not warrantied anymore due to age, the repair costs will probably cost you more than a newer, more advanced camera. To make sure though, you should visit Kodak's interactive repair site. Good luck.
