Every time I replace the batteries the date resets to 1/1/2003 which is irritating. Any ideas?

Nope. That's a Kodak thing. It defaults to the first date of the calendar. I suppose you could look for a firmware update, but I don't know if that would help. You just have to reset it. Sorry.
