Excellent Outdoor Shots

I've owned this camera for 2 years and like most others who have submitted reviews, I'm very impressed with this camera's performance in taking outdoor shots; clear, crisp, and pleasing to the eye using the Saturated Color mode. However, indoor/night shots are marginal (i.e., dim, blurry, uneven). I plan on buying a tripod and using the manual settings to compensate for this deficiency. My only problem with the design is having to rotate the mode selector to turn the camera off. A relative recently bought the new 5-megapixel version and the on/off is separate which cuts down on wear and tear.
