Excellent camera

Have always been a Canon A1 & F1 user, but was going on a trip to Australia & NZ and didn't want to take all the lenses, film, etc. Bought the 6490 and tried it out for a bit before the trip and was really pleased with it and felt quite comfortable leaving my 35mm at home. By the time we got back from our trip, I was completely in love with this camera! It does just about everything my 35's would do and does it more easily and with less "junk" to lug around. (Not the mention the difference in weight). All in all, I don't think you could buy a better all-round camera.
