l-02 error means what?

The Kodak site offers explanations of vairous screen error messages. In this case, the manufacturer reccomends the user to turn the camera off, then back on. If the message reappears, call the customer support line. The number varies based on what country you are calling from (link to the customer support numbers can be found here.

I am getting this same error, and called Kodak Support. I was told it is a lens problem. THey want $150 plus shipping and handling to try to repair it. My camera is two years old. I was told they are seeing this problem a lot in cameras that are about 4 years old.

I wish I knew if it was worth getting it repaired.

I am also having the same Error L-02 message on my DX6490,
i sent that camera to Customer support but they told it will cost 12K Indian Rupees.
So it doesn't make any senses to me
