error code did it

I have had my camera since April 2003 - thank God I purchased the warranty from Circuit City - as I used that warranty - but guess what? Warranty ended April 2006 - we leave for Las Vegas Tuesday and last night my camera gave me the e45 message - my husband took it to the camera shop today to find out that it will cost $175 just for them to look at it. So we are taking that $175 and adding to it to buy a camera that DOES NOT say KODAK on it. Last year the camera broke the day we got to Vegas - and disposables just don't do justice for the scene. I have missed several beautiful pictures because of the quality of this Koday LS443 - but I won't have to worry about Koday again.
