E45 - 2nd repair

Well, I really liked this camera (a Christmas presnet from my wife), and the software too. Sadly, it now has the dreaded E45. I pulled it out of my camera case where it had been since the last use, and the lens came out but then got an E43. That changed to an E45 after the lens got moved manually.

2 years ago it had the problem where you had to help the lens rotate in one direction when it extended or if you tried to use telephoto. Got tired of that and Kodak fixed it for just $35 AND upgraded the rotary switch with the little button to prevent accidental power-ons. I was happy then!

Now they want $150 to fix it or to buy a V700 - either way it looks like no camera here for Xmas.
