Kodak easy share cx7330 suggestions for repair needed

My son dropped camera and now door to batteries won't stay closed causing them to lose contact and I understand I can't order new door to repair , what can I do here, sticky tape is not holding the door shut long enough to take more than 1 quick pic at a time? I would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who has had similar issue. Repair by sending it in not an option since warranty expired and quote for repair starts at 85 dollars. Thank you for your support.

Well, you could check eBay. Often people will list "parts cameras" that you can buy and try to replace the door yourself. I do agree with you, though that the camera isn't really worth paying to repair. Especially at 5 years old. I'd simply buy a new one. For that price, you can get a camera that is exponentially better.

Thanks to person who suggested e-bay, but not really a great solution, or one I hadn't thought of myself at this time. Thanks again.

Well, sorry we can't help then. Your choices are, to fix it yourself, have Kodak fix it, or get another camera. Wish there were others. I had the same issue with my first digital camera. Did the tape thing for nearly a year!
