Best Cam I own!

(G. Casey - 4/14/08)

I own the Kodak v1253, Canon Sx100 IS and also Sony Cybershot T70, and out of these my new favorite is without question the v1073! This Camera is a beauty to operate, takes super quick snap-shots, the Touch Screen is just Amazing (makes everything sooo simple), and the Optical Image Stabilization really helps with on the move shots to make sure every Pic comes out crystal clear! The ISO options on this Cam are great! I bumped up the ISO's to take some night shots lastnight and every Pic came out gorgeouse! I can't say enough about em!

The Camera is about the same size as a box of Marlboro cigarettes, much smaller then pictures make it out to be. The shape of the Cam is one of my favorite features! It's not to long, not to thick, the bottons are perfectly positioned (not many bottons as the Touch Screen takes care of this), and the feel of the v1073 in the hands is just wonderful!

As far as outside? It's not as difficult to see the screen in the sun-light as the reviewer below makes it out to be, any Cam with the sun shinning on the LCD screen is going to be hard to see, although I will say you can not see the screen as detailed as say the Cybershot T70, but as a Touch-Screen Cam this is the price Kodak sacrificed. I will say I have shot numerous times already in pretty sunny conditions, and have no complaints whatsoever.

All in all I feel Kodak has out-done themselves on this one! It's super simple, super fast, super small, and just plain fun to play with! This is my new baby, I will have no problem handing over my other Cams to my son or my wife now (only if they ask; well, beg!.lol).

Good Day

Giles
