How difficult is the lcd screen to see in bright sunlight?

I take a lot of pictures outside on my boat. How difficult is the lcd screen to see in bright sunlight? I notice that none of the new ultra-compact cameras have optical viewfinders anymore.

That's why I recommend a viewfinder. Bright ambient light makes using LCD based cameras quite a difficult process no matter what the model. A viewfinder gives you the option. And frankly, all a larger LCD is good for is killing your battery faster.

I asked a question about this specific camera, but the answer was about LCD screens in general. I already knew that LCD screens can be difficult to see in sunlight, that's why I was asking about this camera specifically. This answer did not help me at all. However, I have already selected a different camera (with a viewfinder, I'm not taking any chances), so the question is moot at this point.

I did answer the question. You said how difficult it was and I implied that LCD only cameras are indeed so difficult to see in bright ambient light as to be useless. I'm sorry you didn't get the meaning of my reply.
