Kodak EasyShare V1253 Details

Editors' Comments

The Kodak EasyShare V1253 is an "HD" digital camera, meaning that in addition to being able to take highly-detailed, large 12-megapixel still images, you can capture video at the 720p high-definition specification. That's a nice perk. The camera also allows you to shoot still images in the widescreen aspect ratio, so you can view your photos on your HDTV as well. The V1253 lacks optical image stabilization, which is an unfortunate omission, and to be honest, Kodak's V-series has been quite lackluster (the V803 and V1003 in particular). If you're really intrigued by the HD capabilities, keep a close eye on the owner review feedback, and compare it to the Panasonic LX9 or the Canon TX1, both of which also offer HD video recording.
