dock necessary to upload to comp, or particular USB cable able to do it?

trying to figure out a way to upload pics without a dock. when on the dock the photos are uploaded into Kodak Easy Share setup on the C drive...want to be able to upload and move to other folders (not on C drive) without having to use the Easy Share program.

Use a USB memory card reader. Then it's a simple drag and drop.
