Was it dropped recently? If so, impact damage can easily cause a camera to stop working. If it has it's own rechargable battery, that battery may simply be dead and need to be replaced. But you also stated that it doesn't work plugged in. I'm thinking that it's just plain old, or that some impact has broken an electronic connection.

Regardless, and allow me to note here that this camera is 7 years old and has been discontinued by Kodak, even for support. If I may, the amount of money it would take to repair would render it not really worth it since much newer models have great MP capacity and higher resolution.

I would suggest taking any money you would spend on repairs and picking up a much newer model. Like the Kodak EasyShare C743 or the Kodak V610 perhaps?

Canon also makes some great new point and shoots which would replace that model quite nicely.

I have a kodak, V610 about 7 months old. It wasn't droped or sat on. I used it and place it on my desk. The next hour I tried to turn it on, it will not even open. Took out the battery and replaced it, but will still not even open. Have someone ever had this problem? If so how was it resolved or any advice will be help.

Regards
