Canon SD 700 or Kodak V610: Which camera is better?

It's been a long time since I've had a new camera and now is the time to pick one up. My last camera was a Kodak and overall I liked it. The only complaint I had was it took horrible pictures at night. I've done some research and just can't decide whether to get the Canon SD 700 or the Kodak V610. Both have pros and cons but to me it's a pretty close race. According to reviews the Canon has excellent picture quality but poor video quality and the Kodak has decent picture quality and excellent video quality. I don't own a digital camcorder as of yet so having a camera that takes videos as well is a well deserved upgrade and i like to take plenty of pictures but want them to turn out great as well. I could use some insight on which camera would be the better buy.

It depends on what you need. the Kodak v610 is really good looking. but as you said i have heard is takes bad night shots(at ISO 400, 800).
i am also planning on buying the kodak V610. because of the pros (great looks,10x zoom, even while taking videos unlike many other cameras, and it has 6 megapexels)
so its up to you to decide.
