Just purchased this model camera. There is a strange noise when the camera is turned on and moved around. Maybe a frog lives inside. Normal?

Is this camera supposed to make noise when turned on and moved around?

Some cameras have a device inside that tells the camera if you are holding the camera vertically, instead of the usual horizontal mode. Some of these devices make a faint clicking sound.

This is the sound of the lens focusing as the camera is pointed in various directions, to test, hold the lens cover in place, and the sound of refocusing will cease.

Yeah that's right---I'm used to the Canons, they don't focus until the shutter is half-pressed.

I found that if I am focussing on a distant scene and someone or something passes infront of the lens, it makes that same noise as it refocusses on the distracting item then back again on the original subject. Sounds like it is normal.
