Off-hand I'd say your cable is bad. If your computer has a built-in card-reader, try removing the card from the camera and using the card-reader.

The problem started when I upgrade from version 4.X to version 6.X.

Try reinstalling the software. Oftentimes that helps. But, you really don't NEED it. There are scads of much better photo editors out there.
