How do your get the video to play on windows vista?

I connect the Kodak z712 to the computer. A page come up sayin it do not suppot the file.
But it will allow me to view my pictures.

Don't bother connecting the camera, use a memory card reader and plug the card in that way. Then you can simply drag and drop the the files directly onto your desktop. If you still cant' watch your video, try VLC Media player. It'll play just about anything. But if you're editing, what are you using? If it can't read it, then it's a codec issue.

I use the method listed above. I plug the memory card in and import the pics and videos to my gallery. Then use Quick Time to play the mov files.

James I found this helpful. I can watwh them. But burning them to a dvd is a whole different thing. That is what I really want to do.

Mac or PC? If Mac, import into iMovie and then hit the burn button. It'll take you to iDVD and you can create a DVD on your own.

If a PC, there are dozens of options out there. I prefer NERO. Import the footage, create a button, and hit burn.
