After 4 years, there's a good chance that the batteries you're using simply aren't powerful enough to run the camera. Over time, lithium ion batteries do lose their capacity. And it's about time to replace them, even if they read fully charged, they may not have enough power to run your camera anymore.

Outside of that, 4 years for a digital camera usually means it's time to get a new camera. They don't last as long as the old analog models. You may just need to replace it.
