I THINK THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA I OWNED IT FOR NEARLY FIVE YEARS THE PICS ARE AWESOME BUT NOW IT DOES NOTHING

Well, are you using the same kind of batteries? If you haven't, you may have run into an underpowered set of AAs, or even a dirty set of battery contacts. They can easily be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Absent that, it may need repair. And at that age, it may cost more than it's worth to fix. Rule of thumb is that if it costs 50% or more of the sale price to fix it, you're much better off getting a new one that will give you more bang for the buck.
