Sports coverage?

Can this camera capture high action sports? I am looking for a camera with at 5fps or more.

Well the problem you'll be running into is shutter lag. You'll have to constantly prefocus and anticipate the action. And for that price, I'd be checking eBay for a Canon XT used.
