Works Fine In A Hostile Environment
( - 3/24/06)I purcahsed the A200 6 months ago based on reviews and features. I am using it in Iraq and take it into the field with me daily. What impresses me is the camera is well built, sturdy, and forgiving. With all the dust in the air this thing keeps on keeping on.
I put a polarizing lens on the camera and that has certainly made a difference. The stabilization makes taking pictures in shaky environments a snap and I have used it numerous times from inside a Blackhawk w/o a problem. The manual ISO features are outstanding but the shutter lag takes some getting used to and the flash is a little week for longer indoor shots.
I like this camera. The picture quality is quite good and I have captured some "action" shots that are unbelievable. If you really want to see what a camera is made of....take one into a war zone! I vote two thumbs up!
