does what's expected
( - 11/28/05)the camera is just average if you shoot in auto in jpeg - but it displays excellent image quality in fully manual mode with RAW. image stabilization works very well, except for low frequencies. i made few hand-held shots at 1/3, and they were really sharp. auto white balance is so-so, not worse not better than others. overall - very good compact for landscape/nature shooting (I am a hiker/climber). I'd announce it excellent if it were more weatherproof.
