Leaking power when switched off
(Sjoerd Hiemstra - 8/16/06)I once took 75 consecutive photos - and the batteries still had not run out of power. However, when taking a photo once in a few days, the number of photos I can take with a new set of batteries can be counted with the fingers of one hand, which I find unacceptable. I have been able to detect that the camera is consuming power when switched off - bad quality condenser inside?
A second disappointment is that one of the pins for the CF card is bent, so the display shows less card capacity. I have to take the card out and put it into a card reader every time, since the USB cable connection does not work with Linux with this camera. (Though lately I've seen a fix somewhere.) The pins seem to have a poor quality, so taking the card in and out more than once is probably not a good idea.
The photos I did take were great, but I find the mentioned problems rather hopeless, so I've started to look for another camera.
