The Minolta DiMAGE Z1 proved disappointing to this reviewer, who notes that in some test shots it produced the worst purple fringing of any digital camera he has tested. Other complaints include a "rattling" noise in the lens and flimsy plastic compartment doors. On the positive side, the movie mode is very impressive. read original review
