Great camera for the casual photographer
(J. Johnson - 11/10/06)I have owned my Z2 for a little over a year now and have been very happy with it. It takes great pictures in good lighting and is a good all around camera for the money - especially for the casual photographer. I've taken it on a few vacations and have gotten some really incredible pictures.
The factory settings for action shots, normal shots, portraits, etc. all work well. My only complaint has been the low light shots. They are OK - but the camera has a tough time auto-focusing when there isn't enough light.
The most outstanding feature of the camera has to be the movie mode. You can take some incredible movies in really poor lighting and they come out amazing! I've taken 1-2 minute action movies and used them on my website and gotten tons of comments on them. And if you are computer savvy... you can 'pull' some incredible action stills off the movies and make prints of them.
Good camera for the price with some nice features.
