From Minolta:

"Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc. ceased the camera business on March 31, 2006.

As of April 1st, 2006, Sony Corporation is providing customer service for Konica’s, Minolta’s, and Konica Minolta’s cameras (excluding Film-In cameras) and camera-related products except for the binoculars."

However, you can find information, including a PDF of the manual here. Page 13 outlines how to change batteries. But the question is, why do you need to remove the battery cover? To replace batteries or actually repair the cover itself?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. The cover is damaged and I want to replace it. On inspection the screws do not seem to have anything to do with it. I can send it away for repair but it will cost £160, I could buy a replacement for this amount of cash!

Precisely. You could check eBay. But if the cover isn't affecting the ability of the camera to take pictures, then why bother repairing it? Use it as a backup.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It doesn't affect the camera, but it is loose, and wrapping a piece of tape round it is the only alternative . There must be a way of replacing it as the covers are sold independently?
Regards

Well the problem is that Minolta is out of the camera biz. Sony handles the contract for repair at the moment, but you can't really get parts. YOu could try eBay for a bricked one.
