I hear about this camera breaking its battery door a lot!!

Because Konica Minolta no longer does digital cameras you'll have to take your repairs thru Sony. You can call them about a replacment battery door at 1-877-462-4464.

But... you might run into issues because 1. Sony has raised the prices on Minolta parts/ repair, and 2. I think this camera changed battery doors somewhere along the way so it might be hard to find the part. My advice is, if you have any electronic or camera stores in your area that handle digitals, give them a call first. They may have access to used camera parts and might be able to get you the part for a lot cheaper than dealing with Sony.

Good luck!

I have the same problem, but I found an easy and very cheap fix. I got some velcro from the craft store and I cut two pieces long enough to wrap from under the battery compartment and up alongside of the same compartment. I loosen the velcro when I am not using the camera so that the velcro does not come loose. It works very well and the velcro lasts for months.

I fixed mine with velcro which doubles as a very comfortable grip.

The link doesn't work anymore and I really am interested in how you used the velcro. Thanks so much.
