a wonderful value & super camera
( - 12/14/05)have had multiple 35mm slr's & had opportunity to get any digital available instead of the z5. it's turned out to be a wise investment & dream of a camera.
*extremely long battery life with rechargeable metal hydrides even with flash & screen on.
*decent low light capability
*12x zoom is sharp. dont even think of getting anything under this.
*manual settings offer creative overrides if you so inclined.
*image stablitzer really works!!!
*larger viewing screen than most cameras, a major plus
*great feel. fits the hand well
*have not come across any negatives after 6 months ownership
bottom line, if you can find one, get it. the z6 is suppose to be it's replacement.
