Own a Konica Minolta 7d. Purchased a Sigma DC 18-50 2.8 EXD. All minolta non-d lenses work fine. THis one won't auto focus correctly...help

Sigma checked out the lens...said to be OK. THen Minolat went bankrupt...have not sent it in to a dealer yet...anyone else had problem with non-Minolta lenses?

I haven't used a outside manufacturer lens before, but have talked to people who have had issues with Sigma lenses. I've been told by other photographers to avoid the lens completely. Although a lot less expensive, you'll get less than you pay for with them. Sorry.
