The Minolta lenses work on the Minolta Maxxum 7D camera, with a few minor exceptions. And often there are features between the camera and lens that are not compatible- for example, you may have to turn off the camera's anti-shake in order to us some of the lenses properly.
You should keep in mind, though, that a lens that suffices on a film camera won't always work as well on a digital. The leap in technology and the more demanding medium may make previously fine lenses seem not so useful on a digital camera.
