Survey Says: Moms Want Cameras for Mother's Day
A new survey indicates that digital cameras are the most wanted gift for this coming Mother's Day, beating out both flowers and candy. Seriously.
From Digital Camera Review - Apr 26, 2007
While 16% of mothers would enjoy flowers, and only 1% want candy, a whopping 20% surveyed said they'd like a digital camera. On top of that, they indicated overwhelmingly that they want more megapixels, too. The survey was conducted by Circuit City, and should be a good resource for sons and daughters looking to pay back their mothers for years of support and unconditional love. What better way to do that than with a camera?
If you're looking for something specific, we're confident that your mom would be thrilled with the Canon Powershot A640, which while small, has a look and feel similar enough to old style cameras that using it will feel natural. It's also got plenty of megapixels (10, in fact), and is perhaps the most popular digital camera on the market among everyday users. If something slim and sleek is more your mom's speed, the Canon Powershot SD800 IS certainly fits the bill, with all the same wonderful Canon quality in a smaller package.
