how do i connect camera to my pc?

i need to take the photos of my camera and out them onto my computer

You need to install the drivers that camer with your Coolpix camera. If you don't have them, then you can download them here. While at it, you may also want to download and install the firmware update that is also available for your camera. Then you just connect via USB cable.

But why mess with that? Invest in a $10 USB memory card reader and simply take your card out and plug it in. The PC will read it as a drive and it's a simple drag and drop to get your pictures onto the PC for editing and printing. Much better than trying to trouble shoot driver issues.
