Nikon 2200 - lens is stuck open. Have tried most things.

The lens on our 2200 is jammed open with the error msg. 'Lens error!' There seems to be no way of retracting it and pics can't be taken as it is. have tried everythng. As far as I can see there's no reset button. Lens is stick solid.
Any ideas?

Nick,

This sounds like a repair issue for a professional. Since your camera is over two years old, it may not be worth the repair. You might try using DCHQ's Digital Camera Gift Guide to find a new camera just for you.
