great for a while
( - 1/23/06)I spent $294.00 for the coolpix 3100...It worked great for about 8 months...then..it started eating batteries..I thought that my batteries were just worn out... so I replaced them again with more rechargeable ones....still only 10-15 pictures...I had a large memory card..I am now down to 3-5 pictures...before the batteries flash they are dead...with all the changing of the batteries...the PLASTIC BATTERY DOOR LATCH has broken...why would a manufacturer make door latch out of plastic??? on a $300.00 camera???
I have started getting blurry pictures...from these reviews it sounds like I am not the only one that is having problems with Nikon cameras eating batteries...
I noticed that the coolpix 3100 has an advisory out for it...with bad tint and blurred pictures
I expected this camera to last me many years...but....
