Hi Nicki,

Just press the left button on the four-way controller on the back of the camera. This toggles the self-timer on and off. It has a 10 second delay.

Good luck!

Nicki,

First, you'll want to push the left arrow on the back of the camera, then the down arrow to turn the self timer on and hit OK. You should see a stopwatch like graphic on the right side of the LCD screen. The number to its left shows how many seconds the timer will wait until taking the photo. Press the shutter button and the timer should start. Therre will be a white blinking light on the front of the camera showing that the timer is waiting. After the default of 10 seconds (might be different based on your camera's settings) it will take the photo. I hope this helps.

Andrew
