Every time I take a picture it looks blurry and out of focus, it is all disfigured. Is there a special shutter speed I should it on?

The camera once worked perfectly and now it is all out of focus, blurry and distorted. I have tried playing with the settings on the camera and may have changed certain things I should not have, I no longer have the manual. I am using a 512 MB memory card. When the round knob is turned on the green camera setting there is a red blinking hand and the camera is making an odd noise. Is there a special shutter speed the camera should be set at?

This means that there is something obstrcting the lens. The issue with this is that it could be an internal thing. Has the camera been dropped? If so it could be a broken or bent internal piece of the lens. Also if the camera has been left in extreme temps for long periods of time condensation can build up causing it to fog the sensor or lens. It also could be something as simple as some crud on the lens. Your best been is to very carefully clean the lens with a non abrasive cloth and some liquid lens cleaner if it looks like there could be debris on the outside of the lens. Here is a copy of your manual, perhap there is another answer in there.

Good luck!

You may also want to try using the camera's Setup menu to Restore Factory Settings (sometimes also called Reset). There should be an option for this buried in the menu. That will put all the settings back where they should be, so if something was inadvertently changed and is causing the problem it will go away.
