Nikon still lists it on their web site. Amazon.com lists 7 sellers with 1 new (open box), 1 factory refurb, and 5 used available through Amazon market places dealers. There are a couple on eBay, one described as mint condition for $200. You might luck out at a local camera shop, but if you really want one I would get it quick.

G'day Larry,
Thankyou for answering my question. I discovered the 5400 on a photo sharing website where the camera model used is listed, and I was surprised as to how good the images are from this camera. I've checked the updated 2007 model which is the P5100 (12.1 mpgs), but from rave reviews the P5100's over pixelisation causes noise above 400 iso, and so it's not as good as the 5400's 5.1 mgps.
So I'm certainly interested in the 5400 more so now.
Thankyou for your informative reply.
Regards, Mick.
