If it dies, you may get a free repair
(J Kronman - 10/26/07)My Coolpix 5700 just died—bleary, off-color images. A little research revealed that this is a known problem with a Sony CCD and Nikon will repair it for FREE. Check with the Nikon web site for info or search on this topic.
Up to the time it died, I had been satisfied with the service I have gotten from this camera. I especially like the SLR-like viewfinder, which many cameras these days don't offer.
