Fantastic Camera
( - 6/19/06)Rugged - I fell with mine coming down a hillside. It flew about 15 feet and not a scratch!! It will deliver professional quality photos, IF you take the time to learn how to use it. The macro capability is wonderful, for a non-SLR camera. As with all cameras made prior to the anti-shake technology, you must provide a stable camera when using macro or telephoto settings. I also own a 5700 and a H/P digital and the 8700 beats them hands down.
