Nice camera...not a Rebel though
(Michael - 3/19/07)For the price the camera is all that one could ask for. I have found that it is somewhat difficult to use the manual settings and have yet to figure out how to take pictures of objects/people in motion. Have not used the video mode so I don't know much about it. Most of the pictures that I have taken are pretty good. Especially natural light pictures. The flash is very limited in range and changes colors of the objects you are shooting. Purples become blue, etc.
But overall I'd say it was worth the price.
Of course if anyone is looking to buy a 1 year old 8700 with lots of extras email me. I've got one for sale...I upgraded to Canon Rebel...It's really nice.
