Sony actually makes a number of different cybershot cameras. Which were you speaking of specifically?
As for the Nikon L5, it was released in 2006 and has been replaced by the Nikon L12. The L5 is a 7.1 MP camera with slightly higher than average optical zoom (5x vs the normal 3x on most compact cameras). Users review it at about an average of 3.5 stars out of 5 and DCHQ rates it at a C+ grade level. For the going price, I would say you were better off trying a newer camera.
