Battery Exhausted -Too Often

It seems like the Battery Exhausted comes on and can't take pictures quite often. Put new batteries in and shows Battery Exhausted. Is there something wrong with camera or do they just eat up the battery in 4 to 5 pictures at times.

More likely, you're using underpowered batteries. What you need are batteries that have an mAh rating of at least 2500.

Are you using alkaline batteries? 4 or 5 shots is not much, although not unheard of if you are using the flash. BTW the flash is the most power-hungry device on the camera. You should be using (rechargeable) Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMh) batteries for the maximum number of photos. The amperage rating is printed on the batteries--naturally, the higher the number the more pictures you can take.

Discount stores carry name-brand batteries with chargers; get the maximum mAh (milli-amp-hour) rating you can find. Some of the cheap, no-name AA batteries have as little as 1600 mAh! I agree that 2500 mAh is a good minimum to look for.

IF A NEW SET OF FULLY-CHARGED 2500 mAh BATTERIES doesn't give you AT LEAST 150 shots, then you have a camera problem.
