Good quality camera

This is my first digital camera. I have used plenty before, but never owned my own. So far the L1 has been great for me. I do agree the camera eats a lot of power and would be wise to carry spare batteries. Motion pics could be a problem to if you are taking pics of your kids soccor game. I chose this camera because I live in Alaska and the still photo quality is excellent. If you want deep picture quality this is the camera for the price. I would grade this 8 out of 10 overall due to it being slow and the amount of power it uses. 10 out of 10 in picture quality. The detail is incredible.
