The shutter button on my Nikon coolpix L1 won't make picture

If you keep pushing around on the button, it will eventually take the picture. It seems that it has to make the right connection to work???

After nearly five years of use, it's probably just filled with dust and gunk that's obscuring the connection of the button. You could try to use some canned out to blow it out. Try a q tip and some alcohol in the area. Then blow it out immediately with the canned air. The camera may just need a good cleaning.
