Dispite the fact that the Nikon L1 is nearly $100 more than the L4 I think it is a better buy. The L1 is a more current camera, and updated model of the L4 in a way. The L4 has only 4MP which really is below the norm for most all cameras being made now. 5MP really is a the lowest I would recommend buying. The user reviews for each camera should tell you what the right choice is. I think you will find it is definetly worth a bit extra for the L1.
