Not bad for the price
(SGV - 10/12/06)I was familiar with Nikons SLR 35MM models from back in the 1980s and 1990s and I had no experience with their digital line although this was not my first digital camera. With the old film cameras, Nikon was known for being a quality brand and I am surprised to see a low end model from them in a digital.
First, if you are not a photographer and just an average person who wants to take casual birthday and holiday pictures of the family, then you dont need to spend more money than this and the L4 is a good camera for you. If you are a photographer however then you may need to go for a higher end model. The L4 is not a bad camera, it just doesnt do the job that professionals are looking for.
